Flights to Lanzarote:
Lanzarote is a very popular holiday destination and is well served by charter flights from the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Guests can also access a more limited range of flights from Norway.
For more information on flights, see "Getting to Lanzarote". Charter flights are available from many other European countries. There are also scheduled flights from and to UK, Norway, mainland Spain and the other Canary Islands.
Travelling in the Canary Islands:
Lanzarote is linked by high speed catamaran and car/passenger ferry to nearby Fuerteventura and there is an inter-island ferry service to the other Canary Islands. A vehicle and passenger ferry also links the island’s capital, Arrecife, with Cadiz in mainland Spain:
Getting around Lanzarote:
On the Island, there are many options for getting around.
Although traffic levels are increasing, they are not yet too high; the road network itself is relatively traffic-free and reasonably well maintained. There is an extensive bus network, centred on Arrecife, although there is no direct bus from the airport to Puerto del Carmen. That said, the plentiful taxis offer reasonable value for money and there are large numbers of agencies offering car, motorcycle and cycle hire.
